Ways to Vitalize Business Communication Utilizing 3D Modeling – Strengthening Design Competencies through SOLIDWORKS and eDrawings
Future mobility specialist ACEWORKS held an internal seminar on September 11th, with a presentation on the theme of 'Methods for Activating Work Communication Using $3\text{D}$ Modeling.' Centered around case studies of individual projects, the seminar served as a meaningful occasion to share the potential uses of $3\text{D}$ modeling and offer practical insights.The presentation introduced the process of supplementing existing $2\text{D}$ drawing-based design with $3\text{D}$ modeling using SOLIDWORKS, to overcome limitations that can arise. It particularly emphasized the verification effect of being able to check cable routing or interference between equipment in advance, lending credibility through real-world project application examples.Communication methods using eDrawings were also a key topic. The presenter explained that by leveraging eDrawings' strength in easily sharing $3\text{D}$ models and $2\text{D}$ drawings, smooth collaboration with other departments and external partners is possible. This raised expectations for increasing communication efficiency during the design review stage and actively utilizing the models for external promotional materials.ACEWORKS plans to continue strengthening its internal design capabilities and spreading an innovative collaboration culture based on the latest tools through regular seminars.
