Hanyang University ERICA announced on the 2nd that it hosted a development fund presentation ceremony with ACEWORKS on the 29th of last month, held at the History Lounge in the campus main building.
ACEWORKS is a technology-driven company specializing in electronic control systems — the backbone of future mobility technologies including autonomous driving and vehicle electrification.
The contribution is directed toward Baqunet, a custom car club within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at ERICA's College of Engineering, with the aim of strengthening students' creative engineering design skills and hands-on experience through team-based projects.
The ceremony brought together Ki-hyung Lee, Vice President for Industry-Academic Cooperation at Hanyang University ERICA, Hwan-yong Kim, Director of External Affairs, and Seung-won Han, President of Baqunet. Representing ACEWORKS were Kang-yoon Lee, Head of Strategic Planning, and Kyeong-chan Min, Manager of the Management Division.
Through the donation, ACEWORKS and Hanyang University share three common goals: developing the next generation of engineering talent, building a foundation for joint industry-academic research in future mobility, and putting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into practice. Both institutions have committed to ongoing collaboration aimed at nurturing students' ambition and technical growth.
"This contribution will go a long way toward helping students build the creativity and practical skills they need," said Vice President Lee. "I believe it will also serve as the seed of something much larger between our two organizations."
"The best technology is built by people who combine creative thinking with the courage to take on hard challenges," said Kang-yoon Lee, Head of Strategic Planning at ACEWORKS. "We're genuinely rooting for the Baqunet students as they grow."
