Hanyang University Trainees Visit Yongin ATC! (Part 2)

The trainees' visit to Yongin ATC that day took them into the heart of an active Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV) development site. PBVs are next-generation vehicles designed around a specific use case — think delivery vehicles, mobile offices, or on-the-go cafés. "It's amazing to think that a car doesn't have to just move people from A to B," one trainee remarked. "The whole space and function can be reimagined from the ground up."

The ACEWORKS Autonomous Driving Development Team walked the group through the practical realities of the work: how vehicles are modified at Yongin ATC, and what the testing process actually looks like step by step. For many of the trainees, it was a moment of clarity — a firsthand look at what engineering on the job truly involves.

Won-taek Lim, Head of the SDV Division at ACEWORKS, who joined the trainees for the visit, summed it up: "Yongin ATC is where you can see autonomous driving technology — where it stands today and where it's headed — with your own eyes. We want to keep opening this space to more students, and grow alongside them." (End)
