컨트롤웍스, 에이스랩과 합병…“모빌리티 사업 시너지 창출”

A ControlWorks official stated, "We will merge the two companies to create great value in the mobility market," and added, "We will generate synergy for sustained growth in electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles for global clients such as finished car manufacturers and IT companies."
With the merger of the two companies, ControlWorks will remain as the surviving entity, while ACE Lab will be dissolved. The surviving company, ControlWorks, will be led by the existing CEO, Park Seung-beom, under a sole CEO system. CEO Park said, "By combining with ACE Lab, we plan to focus on targeting not only existing customers but also IT companies entering the autonomous vehicle market."
Through the merger with ACE Lab, ControlWorks plans to supply electric vehicle and autonomous driving products in a full-stack form. Full-stack refers to the comprehensive supply of products applicable to electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles to clients. The company expects to be able to achieve synergy effects to increase supply records for domestic and foreign clients.
ControlWorks recently won a 3 billion won project from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for the 'Development of Autonomous Driving Ambulance Traffic Support Service.' The core of the project is to provide an autonomous driving platform and base services that enable autonomous ambulances to respond quickly in emergency situations. ControlWorks plans to complete the project by 2027 in cooperation with the Korea Intelligent Transportation Systems Association, ETIPOS, Winitech, and Hanatech System.
It is also expanding its order backlog in the electric vehicle market. ControlWorks has agreed to supply an Energy Storage System (ESS) solution for autonomous driving-based electric vehicles to the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI).
In addition, it is increasing the supply of electric vehicle diagnostic equipment to overseas electric vehicle manufacturers such as Fisker in the US.
