What is the core agenda of this EVS 37 and what does it mean?
The most important thing in Sunwoo's "Electric Waves to Future Mobility" is that the industry with internal combustion engines has been changing for 100 years. During this transition period, EVS 37 will make waves not only in Korea's automobile industry but also around the world.
The International Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition (EVS), which was started by the World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA, President Sun Woo-ho) in 1969, is held every two to three years. It has been held every year in major countries around the world since 1996, when GM sold its first mass-produced electric vehicle EV1 after the California Air Resources Bureau passed a law requiring the sale of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) in 1990. As such, the pace of electric vehicle-related markets, related regulations, and technological development has increased. For a while, major car makers have been watching the market situation, and Tesla and Chinese cars have played a major role in the momentum.
The main theme of this competition may be "pure electric vehicles, plug-ins or hybrids," but battery technology is the most important, followed by charging infrastructure, standards and software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
