ACEWORKS Donates Autonomous Driving Control Systems
ACEWORKS, a specialist in future mobility control and verification, has stepped up to support university students in their autonomous driving research by donating key equipment.

On the 18th of last month, ACEWORKS hosted an equipment training session for students entering the autonomous formula category of the KSAE (Korean Society of Automotive Engineers) competition, held at the company's headquarters lounge in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Servo motors and driver sets — components critical for vehicle modification — were donated free of charge to three university teams preparing for the event. The contribution of this high-performance hardware is intended to help students safely construct steering and braking systems and bring their autonomous driving implementations to life on real vehicles.
The donation reflects ACEWORKS' ongoing industry-academic partnership with KSAE. Leveraging its close relationship with the society, the company is expanding its hands-on, material support for aspiring mobility engineers in Korea — going well beyond technical consultation alone.
Thirteen students attended the session, with Jong-geun Lim, Head of the ACEWORKS Platform Team, serving as the instructor. Lim walked participants through everything from the mechanical setup of the donated equipment to power interfaces and precision control techniques, drawing freely on his field experience.

Participants showed particular enthusiasm for position control techniques using absolute encoders. Practical tuning methods applicable directly to vehicle development — along with parameter configuration tips using dedicated software — were also covered during the session.
"We hope this contribution, however small, proves genuinely useful to the students who will shape the future of mobility," an ACEWORKS representative said. "We'll keep cheering on the next generation of autonomous driving talent and supporting them in pursuing their research to the fullest."
