ACEWORKS Supplies Test Equipment for Hyundai's MobED Robot Platform

ACEWORKS, a mobility tech company, announced on the 16th that it has supplied electric powertrain test equipment for Hyundai Motor and Kia's next-generation mobility robot platform, MobED (Mobile Eccentric Droid).
The equipment will serve as a core piece of verification infrastructure — essential for the precise validation of MobED's drive modules and for establishing the durability and reliability the platform demands.
Delivered by ACEWORKS late last month, the system is a high-performance test bench designed to evaluate the performance and durability of electric drive components, including motors, reducers, and actuators. It can simulate real-world operating conditions and subject components to repeated extreme loads, while supporting high-torque load control, real-time feedback control, and multi-axis test configurations — giving development teams the flexibility to test across a wide range of conditions. The system was built with one ultimate goal in mind: to quantitatively assess drive module stability and repeatability with precision.
MobED itself is engineered to maintain stability in confined spaces and challenging terrain, making it well suited for applications ranging from service robots to indoor mobility platforms — all of which demand exacting standards of drivetrain reliability.
With this supply, ACEWORKS has taken the control and verification expertise it has built up in the EV and autonomous driving space and extended it into the world of robotics platform development.
