"ACEWORKS Supplies Automotive Dark Current Evaluation Systems to Global OEM"

ACEWORKS, a specialist in future mobility control and verification, announced on the 3rd that it has supplied dark current evaluation test equipment to a global automaker.
The equipment was developed to bring greater efficiency to dark current evaluation — a critical step in the quality assurance process for electrified vehicles. Dark current is the faint electrical current that continues to flow through a vehicle's electronic components even after the power is switched off. Left unmanaged, it contributes to unnecessary battery drain and poses a real risk to the long-term reliability of electrified vehicles, making it an important metric in any EV quality program.
The system was designed with automation and ease of operation at its core, with the goal of easing the workload of on-site verification teams while raising the overall reliability of test results. Rather than simply supplying hardware, ACEWORKS took an engineering-led approach — covering equipment design and manufacture through to full system implementation, with the practicalities of real-world testing environments built into every stage.
"As electrified vehicles become more prevalent, the ability to monitor and manage power consumption that isn't immediately visible is becoming an essential part of the verification process," an ACEWORKS representative said. "We will keep building on our testing and verification capabilities to help customers strengthen their quality competitiveness."
Looking ahead, ACEWORKS plans to continue expanding its field-ready testing and verification solutions, drawing on the control and verification expertise it has built up across electrification, Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), and autonomous driving.
