The 7th Board Meeting of the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers (KSAE), which has more than 50,000 members in the automotive engineering community, was held at ACEWORKS headquarters on July 16.

The meeting, held at The Lounge at ACEWORKS headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by KSAE President Jung Sun-kyung, members of the KSAE leadership, and board directors. The gathering brought together leading experts from Korea's automotive industry at ACEWORKS, a future mobility technology company, to discuss key industry issues and the direction of future mobility technology development, underscoring the significance of the event.

As part of the board meeting, a Tech Session titled 'A Bottleneck toward Physical AI in Future Mobility' was held to share emerging technology trends and key challenges in the future mobility industry. With artificial intelligence rapidly expanding into physical environments such as vehicles and robots, participants exchanged views on changes in the future automotive industry and the direction of technological development, according to an attendee at the meeting.

Founded in 1978 as a nonprofit academic organization representing Korea's automotive engineering community, KSAE has been led by Jung Sun-kyung, its first female president, since last November. In recent years, the society has focused on strengthening industry-academia-research-government collaboration to advance future mobility technologies and expanding networking opportunities that connect innovation across the automotive technology sector.
