The commercialization of urban autonomous driving services has been indefinitely delayed due to regulatory hurdles and the lack of legal and institutional frameworks. As a result, SMEs involved in autonomous driving are redirecting their technological development efforts toward unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) as an alternative.
